Having a wardrobe with sufficient storage doesn’t automatically mean that your clothes will magically get sorted. But here’s a tip we swear by – sift your clothes by type,
Label your storage into general categories like dresses, pants, undergarments, accessories, and more. This method will give you a definite structure, so you don’t get overwhelmed by the pile of clothes in front of you. As previously mentioned, it helps to have dedicated storage for all your clothes, it also helps you find them faster when you need them.
Renovate Your Wardrobe Sooner than Later – Many people wait for the ‘perfect time’ to get their wardrobes customised. And although this might seem like a practical thing to do, you’re actually doing more harm than good. It’s always better to have a wardrobe made before you’ve filled out all the space in your room. Imagine having a fully furnished room and then having to move everything again to make room for the custom-built closet. That’s going to be a huge waste of time and energy. And let’s not talk about all the pieces of furniture that will no longer fit once the wardrobe is installed.
Make Sure There’s Space for the Delicate and Fancy – You’re going to have a wardrobe designed, might as well go all out on it, right? Instead of spending on a made to order closet that can only fit clothes, add as many specialised drawers as possible and extensions in there. More importantly, make sure you have room for your most prized possessions. If you have designer clothes, make sure you can hang them all without overcrowding. If you have branded shoes and bags, make sure they all have their own slots so they don’t have to stay cramped in a single storage which can also cause moisture that can ruin their fabric.
Use Colour/Material Coded Hangers – You haven’t known clutter until you’ve been in a wardrobe with assorted hangers. A collection of plastic, wood, and steel hangers all in one line just screams chaos and is frankly disgruntling.
